We are currently seeking a Senior Auditor to lead audits using a systematic, disciplined approach in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

The successful candidate will:
• Conduct audit engagements across all service lines (i.e. assurance, advisory and assessment engagements) and contribute to the development and improvement of controls by performing the following activities: preparing risk identification audit business cases; developing the audit program (including risk assessment); writing management summary reports; briefing management on audit findings; and conducting follow-up activities to ensure resolution of issues
• As project leader, ensure compliance with professional standards and prescribed methodologies while contributing to the achievement of performance measures
• Work with external and specialist consultants in the performance of audit engagements, where applicable
• Coach and develop auditors
• Contribute to the development and improvement of audit technical instructions, methodology, procedures, and techniques across all audit service lines
• Contribute expertise in one or more of the following areas: Financial Auditing; IS/IT Auditing; Fraud Detection and Prevention; Pension Auditing; key Canada Post operations and/or lines of business; Risk Management/Control Self-Assessment

Job requirements (Education and Work experience):
• 4-year post-secondary (university) degree or equivalent education required.
• Must either have obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation or be willing to pursue and attain the designation, passing all required exams within the first year of assuming the position (administered by the Institute of Internal Auditors, www.theiia.org).
• a minimum of 3 years internal audit experience, including all aspects of audit methodology and audit reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
• Experience in leading projects and supervising the work of others.
• Effective analysis and business writing skills.
• Experience in presenting to and communicating with senior management.
• Substantial knowledge of Canada Post business processes is an asset.
• Other relevant professional designations such as CA, CMA, CGA, CISA, CFE are an asset.
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
• Experience with audit analytical software (e.g.: ACL) is an asset.

As part of the selection process selected candidates will be required to complete a security screening process
