Syncrude's Human Resources Department is looking for an experienced individual to join their team as a Human Resources Advisor. The successful incumbent will provide employee relations support in a way that produces results in alignment with our core values and business goals.
As a HR Professional you will be a significant contributor in the delivery of quality human resources services and counsel to various client groups. Your accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

* Work closely with identified client group management, providing HR expertise in organization sensing, interpretation and application of Syncrude Policies, Application Guidelines and Programs.
* Generate positive employee relations; ensure effective and timely resolution of employee concerns.
* Support leaders in the effective execution of performance management process to maximize employee effectiveness.
* Understand the organizational culture of the client base and offer continuous improvement recommendations to the area.
* Proactively reviewing and recommending changes where required to ensure that human resource administrative and transactional processes are effective and applied consistently.
* Support recruitment and selection activities, compensation and benefits administration as required.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:

* Minimum 5 years of related HR experience, preferably within an industrial setting
* 4 year university degree (major in HR or related discipline). Candidates with a combination of education and experience will also be given consideration
* Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) is an asset

Desirable Skills:

* Demonstrated skill in conflict resolution/mediation, ability to mediate and help find win-win solutions to sensitive, interpersonal issues
* Ability to build rapport and gain confidence at all levels of the organization
* Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential
* Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to various size groups
* Ability to handle a variety of complex issues at the same time and work under time pressures
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Strong computer skills and familiarity with common LAN applications, (e.g. E-mail, MS Office)

PTI Group Inc is currently seeking candidates for a Purchasing Agent in our Manufacturing office. This position will be the primary contact for all Contractors and Sub-Contractors and will report to the lead Purchasing Agent for the Field Supply Centre.



Key Responsibilities:

§ Coordinate, develop and execute contract administration activities in respect to general contractor based arrangements for PTI Manufacturing, CHIMO, Site Install and Construction activities

§ Establish and maintain interfaces with key stakeholders such as Projects, Contracts and Procurement, Finance and 3rd party contractors

§ Ensure all required documentation is completed and provided; ie. Insurance certificates, etc.

§ Ensure contractor complies with all requirements of the contract (day to day)

§ Ensure changes to the scope of work, organization, supervision changes, budget updates are provided by the Contractor, documented and communicated to appropriate parties

§ Provide formal communication and education of change order process to Contractor

§ Monitor overall contractors compliance to the contract / purchase order / scope of work

§ Review bids and proposals for conformity with contract requirements and company policies

§ Expedite/manage site consumable and rental equipment

Qualifications:

§ PMAC Level 2, Purchasing Certificate would be an asset

§ Minimum 4 years of Supply Chain Experience

§ Project Management Experience, preferably in an EPC environment

§ Experience in use of JD Edwards or similar ERP system

§ Outstanding influential and change management skills

§ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under time pressure

§ Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

§ Must be able to do some travelling to site
