Urgent Requirements for an E&P ( ADNOC Subsidiary) Company in Abu Dhabi

Position : Safety Design Engineer
Work Location : Abu Dhabi
Job Duration : Long Term (Direct Hire)

PURPOSE & SCOPE:
Responsible for the review of enquiry documentation and the scope of work for carrying out allocated duties related to the preparation, checking and issue of safety engineering deliverables in accordance with client’s HSE Policy, international codes and good engineering practices. This will also include site visits and close liaison with Clients, other engineering disciplines; project engineering coordinator and drafting office coordinator.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.
  • 10 - 12 years experience in Loss Prevention Studies and Design / Engineering of Safety Systems of oil/gas projects; experience in Process Engineering will be an added advantages
  • Develop Health Safety and Environment Plan for projects in accordance with client’s health, safety, and environment policy
  • Develop procedure for HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS and other safety related activities as per project’s requirements.
  • Perform Dispersion analysis and Quantified Risk Analysis as required.
  • Participate in SIL study.
  • Develop Area Classification Drawings
  • Prepare layout drawings and engineering flow diagrams for all fixed installed fire protection systems.
  • Calculate firewater demand and design Deluge and Sprinkler system using PIPENET.
  • Perform Fire Detection/Gas detection layout study; specify fire/gas detectors and their location.
  • Specify fire proofing requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to good practice and safety design codes.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards; knowledge of IP-15, NFPA, BS, UL, FM, ISO essential.
  • Planning & organizing skills.
  • Influencing skills.
  • Good understanding of role of other Engineering discipline in project execution.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Good technical knowledge and conceptual skills.
  • Good Communication skills.
