Provides technical support and advices in the area of energy management engineering, participates in setting Company objectives policy, strategy, and KPI’s related to Energy Management and provides expert services related to the design, construction & commissioning and operations of the new and existing Company's oil and gas production, transport and export facilities.
Oversees screening (Stage-4 of MPAP) and conceptual designs (Stage-6 of MPAP) for the new field developments and projects. Ensures correct and consistent design practices and design philosophies are applied in the different projects at the different stages of projects.

Provides technical support and in-house consultant services for the Company activities in energy management and utility engineering. Directs the conceptualizing, definition, design and execution of energy and utility projects.

Specifies engineering scope of work and applicable standards for industrial and domestic utility systems including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), fire fighting, irrigation, water systems, drainage, waste water treatment, disposal and reuse, compressed air and Nitrogen package.

Provides expert technical advice for increasing efficiency of the energy systems include mechanical, electrical, process, control and building systems and equipments such as water and gas injection, pumping and compression facilities, power generation and transmission, drivers and movers, combustion equipments, heating and cooling processes, steam systems, lighting and HVAC.

Recommends acceptance / rejection of works and activities related to energy efficiency in the proposed new developments, expansion and modifications, remodeling and new equipment purchase

Provides expert technical advice on practical means of optimizing energy efficiency and minimizing green house gas (GHG) emissions of new projects and existing operations.

Develops and maintains the Company’s specifications, standards and procedures to ensure consistency in engineering approaches, avoid diversity in technical requirements and improve cost effectiveness and ensures adherence of the projects with the prescribed standards.

Reviews and analyzes the work of consultants and contractors to provide professional recommendations to support the integrity and effectiveness of energy efficiency measures in the project development.

Organizes and participates in audits and reviews to optimize energy efficiency in new major developments. Participates and contributes to the project integrity and value improvement practices including design and Peer Reviews, Risk identification/ mitigation, Value Engineering, PHSERS, HAZOP, etc).

Supports setting up and ensures compliance with energy performance standards for efficient operation and maintenance of machinery and facility.

Mange energy audits / surveys on the existing facility/plant to identify energy conservation opportunities, recommend solutions, conduct techno-economical feasibility studies for the alternatives and monitor implementation.

Coordinates establishing baseline for energy consumption, developing energy management data base, setting up monitoring and reporting mechanism and maintaining regular updating.

Oversees performance tests of energy and utility systems, evaluates the testing results against the performance targets and authorize acceptance of performance testing.

Participates in divisional of company-wide Committees to provide guidance and expertise in energy management engineering and leads related discussions and meetings.

Provides professional challenge and expertise to all engineering areas and ADCO’s Technical Functions’ Teams in establishing realistic achievable work programs within prescribed frames. Coordinates the Division's performance measurement program in the areas of responsibility.

Keeps abreast, of relevant advanced development technologies in energy management. This includes participating, attending and representing the Company in conferences, seminars, Society of Engineers, and trade shows to identify new methodologies and technologies of interest to the Company. Adopts new technology applications in cost effective integrated manner to promote business efficiency.

Encourages knowledge transfer and sharing of know-how and good practice amongst the engineering and operation teams and across the company on how to improve energy efficiency.

Participates in the ongoing training and development of UAE national employees assigned to him. Includes assessing training and development needs, directing the preparations of structured familiarization / development programs, monitoring progress and counseling employees as required.

Leads and directs Company’s effort for increasing the knowledge and awareness of employee, contractor and community with the importance, benefits and means of energy and water conservation for sustainable development and enhancing the behavior patterns to promote saving culture.

Ensures effective implementation of Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policy in all areas of work under his / her control and taking corrective actions when necessary.

Carries out other similar or related duties such as researching technical information, liaising with counterparts in ADNOC, other OPCOs and shareholders, preparing activity reports and presentations, carrying out independent investigation into technical matters as assigned.
