Reputable Governmental Educational entity at KSA is seeking for:

· Microsoft SQL Server DBA.

Responsibilities

- Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain SQL Server databases

- Define and implement appropriate SQL Server database administrative best practices across all SQL Server systems.

- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot database instances, replication, backup, partitions, storage, and access.

- Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods.

- Set user privileges within the database environment.

- Maintains data integrity by establishing standards; monitoring performance.

- Provide database related technical support to application developers and network engineers.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience

- 3-5 years SQL Server database administration and programming experience in a SQL Server 2000/2005 environment.

- MCP is must

- MCDBA Certification is not required, but helpful.

Skills/Qualificatio ns:

- Excellent working experience on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 & 2005 design, development and Administration

- A solid understanding of relational database design, including actual design experience

- Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures

- Administrative experience with SQL Server, including performing backups, maintaining database security, and other routine tasks with exposure to hardware, OS, OS logs and SQL logs.

- Strong familiarity with SQL database security roles and other security related access/authenticati on methods such as DB roles, SQL user roles, application authentication, OS authentication, domain authentication, etc.

- Solid working knowledge of Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 Operating Systems

- Application Development experience in any of VB, Visual Studio.Net, C++, COM, C# etc, is desirable.

- Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle

- Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with management, vendors, clients and peers as well as be able to work independently with a minimal level of supervision on a wide variety of tasks
