Create designs and sample layouts for websites
Create designs and sample layouts for websites.
• liaising closely with a customer or client at the design stage and
finding the answers to questions about why the site is needed, who
the target audience will be, who the leading competitors are, etc;
• producing a design that will be attractive to the target user, has
a logical navigation system and has all the features required;
• writing web pages in a combination of codes, such as HTML and
XHTML, CSS, Javascript, Action script, Cold Fusion, .Net, Flash, or
using code-generating programs, such as Dream weaver and Visual
Studio;
Optimize images for Web user interface and create HTML/CSS that
matches a Photoshop design layout.
Designing flash buttons, menu, banner and intro.
Designing JavaScript menus.
• deciding on how images and other material will be digitally
optimized and presented for the web;
• ensuring that material on the web site is accessible to all groups
including those with disabilities;
• testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at
different resolutions;
• fixing errors.
* Very good spoken and written English
* Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity
in problem-solving.
* Ability to work in a team and to communicate in a clear way to
provide training to staff and faculty. Superior knowledge of current
web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio
displaying user-centred design, and experience with web database
solutions definite assets.
