Job Description:
This is a key role for one of the significant players in the telecommunication industry in UAE. The purpose of the role is to safeguard the financial and business position of the company and its subsidiaries, provide financial information to facilitate decision-making regarding corporate economical and financial policy, ensuring shareholders' trust and company growth and continuity in line with business ethics.
The ideal candidate will be facilitating the preparation of annual plans, budgets and forecasts, providing accurate and timely financial information and monitoring investments and dealing with the board on regular basis.
The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of internal controls, compliance and IFRS and will be CFA/CPA/CA gualified combined with at least 10 years work experience including 3 years telco experience. Knowledge of ME business practices would be an advantage.
Personal traits will include analytical thinking, accountability, power of persuasion and interpersonal understanding.
Skills
Detailed knowledge of IFRS
Prepare financial reports, budgets, annual plans and forecasts
Investment monitoring
Develop and implement processes, procedures and systems
Preparing year end financials
Controlling vendor payments, vendors and contractors
Control and safeguard financial assets
Knowledge of IPOs and M&A is an advantage
