Analyzes and costs manufacturing work orders following company’s costing system. • Prepares the monthly cost of sales figures by analyzing material, labor, and research and development expenses. • Assists the accounting manager in preparing monthly journal entries for cost of sales and scrap. • Maintains FIFO inventory system and follows established valuation method. • Assists in the quarterly and year-end physical inventory process. • Reviews and audits the costing system including costs for purchased material inventory. • Analyzes variances from cost estimates. • Prepares report for accounting manager and recommends changes.
