Within the frame work of and in full alignment with the DIP concession agreement and KGLPI vision, mission and goals, Lead the efforts to develop maintain/update and implement DIP’s own vision, mission and goals. This leadership commences from the time of the project design & construction stage, through the transition stage from project mode to operational mode and into full operations. Responsibilities : • Supports the project team to review the port design criteria and confirm compatibility of the same to operational and commercial requirements. • Establish and lead a transition team to insure the smooth and seamless transition of the new Damiatta Container Terminal from the project construction stage to the operational stage. This team must cover, among others, the following areas: 1. HR 2. IT 3. Sales & Marketing 4. Operations 5. Technical & Maintenance 6. PR 7. Administration & Government formalities 8. Finance 9. EHS&S 10. Training Qualification : • Min BSC degree in Maritime studies, Management or Engineering; or it’s equivalent. • Min 15 years experience in a Management level position in the Maritime industry; including ports, shipping companies, shipping agents or major importers & exporters outfits. • Min 5 years working experience in the Middle East. • Excellent relationship with the major S. S. Lines, especially from a commercial prospective. • Good command of IT systems, especially Microsoft suit. • Diplomatic skills are value added advantage. • Excellent English language capabilities. • Arabic Language capabilities are an added advantage. | Offered salary | : From 8000 to 10000 $ | Job Location | : Damiatta International Ports, Kuwait | Submission date | : 2/21/2008 | | |
