Due to current expansion, they are seeking to recruit Quality Coordinator.
DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Business Unit Quality Manager, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting, monitoring and following-up of the appropriate Quality activities on the Division’s projects of the region (Middle East & Maghreb).
Reporting to the Business Unit Quality Manager, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting, monitoring and following-up of the appropriate Quality activities on the Division’s projects of the region (Middle East & Maghreb).
Can be assigned short or middle term on specific projects in the region in order to solve particular activities, problems or non-conformities (at construction sites or vendor shops).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate the QA and the QC activities for the projects/proposals needing supports in the region (Middle East & Maghreb).
- Constitute, maintain and manage a pool of part-time QC specialists for the relevant disciplines (i.e. mechanical, electrical, corrosion, and cathodic protection).
- Provide services to the project QA/QC teams in the appropriate disciplines.
- Train and support the project Quality Control teams for the management tools (i.e. PM+ Exception module and other future improvements)
- Review and revise requirements related to Quality Control in calls for tenders, contracts and all the relevant vendors documents (i.e. Inspections and test plans)
- Do the liaison with the corporate Quality management for all the given activities or mandates.
- Monitor and audit the projects regarding to the directives of the corporate Quality management.
- Take care of the QMS of the SLI Egyptian office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Civil).
- 5 to 10 years of experience related to quality control or resident engineering.
- Proficiency in English (mandatory) and French, spoken and written.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication/ construction codes and the main technical standards, both European’s (especially BS and EN) and American’s.
- Experience in quality audits and systems implementation, an asset.
- Shall have experience in construction in the region (Middle East & Maghreb).
- Willing to travel to work for our project in the region.
- Good capacities of interrelations with several different teams (engineering, construction, procurement & quality).
- Diplomatic and proactive.
