Shell Canada is currently seeking a Millwright for a role in the Fort St. John, BC area.
Responsibilities:
The Millwright position reports to the Supervisor, Site Maintenance.

 
The primary role is to install and maintain all rotating and mobile equipment associated with Groundbirch in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner.

 
Specific Accountabilities:
  • Champion safety; monitor and manage performance against targets
  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment as well as the maintenance of documentation and records
  • Provide tracking and reporting progress of maintenance activities to the Rotating Equipment Engineer
  • Responsible for the execution of rotating equipment maintenance work orders
  • Full engagement in the "How Work Gets Done" process at site
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance regarding rotating equipment
  • Actively demonstrate support for the corporate policies on health, safety, sustainable development, diversity, respectful workplace, General Business Principles and Code of Ethics


Requirements:
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Must possess a valid Journey-level Millwright certification, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant industrial maintenance experience as a Millwright at the journey-level
  • Requires broad knowledge of rotating and mobile equipment, applicable technology and provincial codes
  • Must reside in Fort St. John area (within 60 minutes of site) or be willing to relocate
  • Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather
  • Must be willing and able to climb tanks, climb ladders, walk up and down stairs and work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Must be willing to work a rotating shift schedule; overtime and after hours coverage required
  • Using safe lifting techniques, must be able to lift 20 kg from ground to waist level
  • Must be able to work safely while wearing a Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) or respirator
  • Candidate must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's license
  • Relevant military experience will be considered an asset
