Sales Representative (Structural Steel/Construction)

This organization is seeking a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude to join their Ontario Sales team in their Mississauga office in promoting and providing customized solutions and services to their customers.
The successful candidate will promote the advantages of using steel joists, girders and deck systems to both new and existing customers throughout the Ontario Region. Responsibilities include conducting sales and marketing activities consistent with their corporate mission.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
A post-secondary education in business or civil engineering;
Sales experience in the construction manufacturing or technical sales sectors;
An energetic and enthusiastic approach to customer service balanced with strong negotiation and decision-making abilities;
Effective planning and time management skills;
The ability to read construction drawings, specifications, proposals, and have experience with related software;
The ability to travel within the Ontario sales region.
New graduates/alumni from a Sales/Marketing or Civil Engineering program are encouraged to apply as the organization is willing to consider training a candidate possessing the right mix of enthusiasm and skills.
Priority will be given to those applicants who have previously applied these skills in the structural steel industry.
