We are now seeking an experienced Web Developer to join a fast paced Development Team. He will be working with teams of talented developers, experienced designers, and usability experts in the creation of web-based business solutions. They will have an excellent understanding of web-based technologies. Expert knowledge of .Net development environment and experience with latest Microsoft development products will be beneficial, also experience in the field of video gaming. This position will be based in our Cairo office.

Job Description

• Create web applications using primarily PHP, Implement web interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and Javascript

• Design and code high-volume software components using primarily C and C++

• Extend PHP functionality to support our unique requirements

• Work with the team lead and project manager to assess level of effort for new feature requests and projects, as well as provide recommendations for architecture and design.

• Work with the overseas team to handle tasks and projects implementation, etc.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building PHP applications and extensions

• Expert knowledge developing and debugging in C/C++

• Past contributions to PHP projects

• Experience working with Apache/PHP in high-performance environments

• Excellent debugging, profiling and optimization experience

• Experience with compile time optimizations

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels

• A passion for video games

Critical Skills Required
• Bachelor degree, (IT, CS, IS)

• 2-4 years experience with web application technologies including: PHP, MYSQL, SQL Server 2005 JavaScript, HTML/XML, Ajax , design patterns

• Ability to interpret functional specifications, as well as ability to document technical or functional specifications
