Mac Developer

Looking for a skilled software engineer (or a talented and recent graduate in the area of computer science) with a positive attitude toward working in an environment of frequently changing requirements. As an engineer in the Skype for Mac OS X desktop team, you will help design and develop new features for the Skype for Mac product. Ideal candidate should be very familiar with application design, user interface implementation and have a strong understanding of system level programming. Candidate should have demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities. Must be self-directed and able to work well in a team environment.

Desired Experience:

• Proven track record of delivering application software
• 3+ years of software development with C++ or prefferably with Objective-C and Cocoa
• Should have a strong knowledge of multithreaded programming, asynchronous and event driven application design, and custom GUI development.
• Should be well disciplined in the application development processes of requirements analysis, functional spec development, prototyping, implementation, testing, documentation and maintenance.

Also on embedded platform. We see that diversity to continue and we need help to manage this. In quality assurance we test all Skype software and take part of integration and gross platform projects. Integration testing engineer coordinates cross platform and systems testing projects. Sometimes this means specifying test environments and sometimes doing testing planning and project management. This role is suitable for more experienced people with years of IT systems development or maintenance know-how, people who look for new challenges with cutting edge technology and in an innovation rich environment.

Responsibilities:

• coordinating integration testing activities between internal and external stakeholders

Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience:

Responsibilities

• Testing Skype web applications from frontend to backend
• Define and execute functional, usability, regression, load, automation, security and performance tests on Skype internal and external web services

Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience

• You are expert on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, SSI
• You consider yourself as average level user of SQL and programming (keywords: PHP, Python, Java)
• You are familiar with Unix systems, Apache and Tomcat and also feel home using shell
• You have deep understanding of QA and testing methodology and processes

Audio Codec QA engineer

Job description: We are looking for a quality assurance (QA) engineer whose main tasks will be to ensure the high quality of our audio codec software. The position involves working closely together with software developers and other QA engineers to evaluate and improve subjective and objective codec performance under various conditions and on multiple desktop platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux). The QA engineer will also be responsible for developing new test and simulation environments.

Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience:

• Knowledge of speech/audio processing in general
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networks
• You are tech-savvy yet can set yourself in end user’s position

• discovering and isolating product flaws quickly and effectively using Black Box and some white Box testing methodologies

Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience

• BS degree in CS/EE or equivalent
• experience testing and/or supporting real-time, client-server based systems
• A strong understanding of testing concepts and of distributed, multi-user, client-server systems
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience testing server-based software, OSes, APIs, and/or protocols
• Experience with SQL, some scripting (shell, Perl, Python), Linux/Unix.
• Load testing experience is a plus
